Hi,

I downloaded trial version of SQL Server 2005 from microsoft website from this link:

http://www.microsoft.com/sqlserver/2005/en/us/trial-software.aspx

and setup it on my computer.

but after set up complete, i did not found anything for sql server in:

start >>> all program >>> .....

the program is found in C:\program file and its size is over 200 mega

but i cannot found any icon to start it.

what is the problem ?

Just fixed your link...

You need to install the SQL Server Management app for 2005 (free from MS). Download here[^]. Good Luck. :)

Notes:

1. You need a UI to manage the database(s) on you machine or server.
2. The licensed version has the manager built into the installment package.
3. The trial version you have install the manager separately.

Good answer...And yeah it's weird to see answers at the same sec :-)
Did you install the client tools as well as the server? It is the client tools which provide the applications that appear in the start menu.
