Rather than a website, I would suggest a book - most have examples and exercises, but they may be better structured towards teaching you the language rather than just samples.

That's good advice - I've found "Pro ASP.NET 4 in C# 2010" by Matthew MacDonald and Adam Freeman to be quite useful as an introduction to asp.net

This is better advice than sites, my 5.
Books tend to encourage doing work with one's own hands more, which is most important.

Try .NET Book Zero[^] by Charles Petzold; it is an excellent C# primer, and is free.
