It took me years of hard work to master things. Once you learn quickly, please do share your secret spicy sauce. :-(

You think so? Well, in some cases it works, my 5. However, would you like to look at my Answer? :-)

Whilst you also have a point I've found it pointless to point it out to newbies that have no desire to buckle down and learn like we all have and who feel it's okay to read C# for Dummies and consider themselves experts! I've been at this for a long, long, oh such a long time and am still constantly learning (which is part of the joy of this job that people who want it all on a plate miss out on).

I'm constantly learning, too, and there is nothing wrong reading "for Dummies". I only would say, how do you know what's "pointless"? You never know what happens to OP later. It does not matter much what people desire, in fact. People do not usually follow their real interests, do you know that? It they do not want to learn, leaving the development early is the least painful root, but everyone deserves a chance. If reading "Teach Yourself Programming in Ten Years" gives a chance to take a sobering look, if if the the chance is one per million. As to just giving information, I also know many cases when this is pointless, and from well-justified experience. You can even watch many such cases here at CodeProject...
Thank you.

Incorrect question! Nobody knows your background.

If you're the absolute beginner (and I see you mention "learn quickly"), first thing to read is this: "Teach Yourself Programming in Ten Years": http://norvig.com/21-days.html[^].

This is not a joke!
