I am trying to get connected to a remote server from my PC. Please help me in how I should connect. Please let me know how to do that.

Whatever type of server you are trying to connect to you need to know the address such that the calling application knows where the server is.

Let's pretend you said you're trying to connect to a Database server: try this[^] for connection string examples.

Otherwise, take a look at this[^].

Hope that helps given that your question is so wide open you could drive a bus through it!
