Error:: Class not registered in sharepoint

hello....

while i'm tring to start 'Windows SharePoint Services Search' i got the error 'Class not registered' :confused: .am using SharePoint 2007 and windows server2008.

Event Log Info for this error is:

Log Name: Application
Source: Office SharePoint Server
Date: 3/6/2011 5:06:30 PM
Event ID: 6482
Task Category: Office Server Shared Services
Level: Error

Description:
Application Server Administration job failed for service instance Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Administration.SearchServiceInstance (7bc96755-2ea8-4445-b81d-78b9c4dfc982).

Reason: Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040D1B

Techinal Support Details:

System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80040D1B): Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040D1B
at Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Administration.SearchServiceInstance.SynchronizeDefaultContentSource(IDictionary applications)

hi,

finally i resolve the problem ,Here is the solution .

Right click on the drive where u installed server and select 'security' tab and give read/write/modify permission to WWS_WPG & WSS_ADMIN_WPG group.
