Help on Session Expire Notification

Hello people.

How do I get notified when a session expires in PHP?

I would like a piece of code that is executed when a session expires so that cleanup can be performed.

Help would be highly appreciated.

After a very quick search on this, the general opinion is that you can't get notification.

This[^] thread (last answer) claims to have a solution though.
