I have a net work adaptor that shows MAC all zeros i can comunicate with it thru wiznet how do i enter the mac address down loded mac addess changer tool how do i use it direct connect adapter to pc using sr cable or how?please help this network adaptor is a hub conected to an fta receiver it has ars-232c conectionto recever and ethernet port to router i have the original mac address riten down how do i use the tooll to enter it to the hub?

I wrote a Mac address changer a few years back. It's for XP/2003 although people have commented that they've used it with Vista/Windows 7 too (you may need UAC elevation though).

thats the app i downloded but my network conector/hub is connected to an fta receiver so do i connect it to the pc thru sr cable and my router or how?thank you for your qwik reply.

The app can only change the mac id on your local network card.

0) No network adapter is shipped a mac address of all zeros.

1) What is "wiznet"? Something only accessible from the bathroom?

2) If you want to connect from one ethrnet port ona computer to another computer's ethernet port, you have to use what's called a "cross-over" cable, ahich should be available at any reasonably equipped computer store. Even then, both computers have to be on the same subdomain as far as IPs are concerned.

the network addapter is connected to an fta receiver the mac address was wiped out on a s/w upgrade and wiznet is an app that communicates with the hub thats how i no its all zeros so how do i connect to thenetwork addapte/hub to enter new mac address? thak you for your qwik responce.
