comparing hand gesutres images with stored images

i work on a project that concerned with hand gestures and there is apart of it requires comparison between the user's gesture and the stored images of gestures,then find the most similar gesture to the user's gesture.

do you know algorithm or way or code can solve my problem?

I presume we are talking image recognition etc. here . . . have you looked at OpenCV to see if there is anything in that that can help you?
