Hi everyone!
I've created a huge ASP.NEt web application - my own social network..mix of Facebook and the russian VKONTAKTE ( russian most famous social network) with my own addons and content managment
tricks... the whole business logic is ready, database support, handlers, galleries, security contexts but what if people don't accept my HUGE tryings...and by the way ASP.NET is not so fast
like PHP ...will it do for social networking??? Does my BIG LABOR has any sense???

Sad to say but there are many social network on the web. It is hard to use it for the people who are currently using another social net sites. You must think of the people's(since they are the user)estate and emotion.
Imagine if I am the only one using it. My friends would rather use facebook rather that that because they have many friends their. What should I do? (I'll rather abandoned my account on your website rather than on facebook)
It could work if you have a lot of money for advertising, for TV, webs, etc.

My vote: 3 out of 10
Recommendation:
It is better to create an online games (MMORPG) where the users doesnt need to download huge amount of app data just to play that game. You could use java (like Godswar on facebook)for this.
Try and see for yourself
