VC6 SP6 not effective

I just reinstalled on WinXP Visual Studio 6 with SP6
But now any.rc file is opening as text only
and for resource editing, it shows message
"A Resource is using unknown language 0x4E,
0x1". Please help me to edit dialog box for
old and new created project.

Solution 1

Have a look inside it to see where it is specifying these language values*, and check that they are valid selections.

My file contains a statement of the form:

LANGUAGE LANG_ENGLISH, SUBLANG_ENGLISH_UK

Although the values in my WinNT.rh file suggest that your numbers are valid for Marathi. Check that your SDK is up to the same level as it was previously.
