question about Updating data from web page

Hi to all!
I am updating employee inforamtion from a web page.
on page load employee deatils fecthed from table into textboxes.
I edited these values.

But when i click on UPDATE button database does not update.
on debugging Query shows data that was on pageload.

What is the problem?

are you getting any exception if yes then post it, can you post your code as well, to get an idea of what you are trying to achieve?
