SQL server connection establishig error

Hai to all

In my project while running it the following error is occurs,the error like this,
(A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server.The Server was not found or not accessible,verify that the instance name is correct and the SQL server is configured to allow remote connections.(Provider: SQL Network interfaces,error:26, Error- Locating Server/Instance Specified)) .Please help me to overcome this error.

Solution 1

Wow - today seems to be the day of 'we can't read error messages'. What makes you think this error message is wrong ? It's telling you that the SQL Server needs to be configured, or it doesn't exist. Why do you think this error is wrong ? How can we tell you what might be wrong with your connection string if you don't post it ?

Solution 2

The error is obvious. SQL Server was not found. Possible reasons are:

1. The SQL Server is not started in Services.
2. You had the wrong SQL Server name.
