Hi,
I have learned VB.Net with the help of some books and blogs like code project but I donot know even the basics of ASP.Net that I really want to learn.

Could you please advise me if there is any difference between the code syntax of vb.net and ASP.net or I can use the same syntax to build asp.net applications?

Thanks for your help.

Learn C# or VB.NET and a good deal of .NET first. Oh, wait a minute… you say "I have learned VB.Net". Hm. This is not true. If you did you would have some idea of what the syntax is and where this notion can be applied. So — learn VB.NET first. Or — "unlearn what you have learned".

ASP.NET is essenctially a series of aspx files which can have a code behind file and you can use any .NET language including VB.NET) to write your code.
The aspx is where you define your View, write your html use asp.net controls and optionally you can write code there to (like VB.NET)

http://www.asp.net/[^] is a very good place to start learning about ASP.NET

The OP didn't ask for a comparison between VB.NET and C#, but doesn't know about how ASP.NET is written.

Well I dont know if you checked the link or not but with OP's words "if there is any difference between the code syntax of vb.net and ASP.net" to me that indicates a comparison and in that article syntax differences are also covered FYI..

I've just searched through the article and it doesn't mention ASP.NET once. I don't know where you've copied that sentence from, maybe you've linked to a wrong article.

Ok I see you got it from the OP. Well to me the post is clearly indicating that the OP doesn't know the first thing about ASP.NET
