Problem in passing parameter values from ASP.Net to Oracle Procedure

I am using Oracle DB.When I am passing parameter values from UI(ASP.Net), those values are fine till they reached to Stored Procedure.But when I try to print that values in stored Procedure a special is getting appended for every parameter.Not getting whats happening.
Can any one help on this whats going on.

Could you post a small example what's printed and the procedure (or relevant pieces of it, declaration, how you print the value etc.)
