How to restrict the values of listbox if they previously added by user

I have a page on which a dropdown for the selecting user and two list box in which 1st listbox contain products and in the second we add the products from listbox2 . When i click on the submit button the product selected and the user id inserted in the table. But i want that when i entered the product for the same user then the product which already added in that table are not shown to the user

Solution 1

Have you tried repopulating the listbox, by retrieving data from table. I am not sure if you tried this already and have any issues. If so tell us the issues.
