How to choose both files and folder in vb.net

I am using the folder browser option to select the folders but now my requirement is that I have to make it possible to deisplay both the files and folders in a list so that the user can select the one he wishes to, how to do it

You can't, with the standard browser controls - files and folder have to be browsed for by different dialogs - and they are sealed so you cannot derive from them.
The only thing I can suggest is that you create a custom dialog, which does what you want - it could include files or folders as required.

Solution 1

It is not possible using either the FolderBrowserDialog or the OpenFileDialog, and so you would have to create something for yourself. Sorry.
