How to create application to provide login security for Removable device?

I am develpoing the application to provide login security for Removable Devices.So that to access that device user should have to enter valid password or like this.But i don't konw while checking password is valid or not how can i hide that device from user so he can not able to access it without valid login or if password is not valid device should be disable.Is there any way?
