Solution 1

Windows services do not have a UI so they cannot show notification icons in the system tray.

If you want notifications you will need to write a separate program that communicates with your service.

Solution 2

There is a way to have the notify icon in the system tray show when the form loads, so you could make an invisible form that loads when OS starts, which will then show the notify icon. If you need help with the notify icon part, let me know.
