hi frens, i am using Visual Studio 2008 which has asp.net 2.0 and sqlserver 2005 inbuilt. i came to know that VS 2010 has included a new feature of using razor and asp.net 3.0 by default. i want to include razor in my VS 2008. how to perform such task please help me with suitable option?

You can't - Razor (and MVC3) runs only under .NET 4, which is not supported by VS2008.

Good point. I missed this. 5.
I somehow thought the OP was looking for information on Razor - did not notice 2008 at all.

@Abhinav: your third link provides clear System requirements..that is "ASP.NET 4; .NET 4"

Yeah. In going through the question quickly I missed the OP had mentioned VS2008. :)

np but your links says that :)
No, not just Razor but MVC 3 will not be supported in VS 2008. The reason is that MVC 3 is being compiled on .NET 4.0.

Have a look at Introducing “Razor” – a new view engine for ASP.NET [^].
Here is another introduction[^].

If you need more help on downloads, goto http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=15979[^].

However, Razor only works for .Net 4.0. MVC3 does not work on 2008 as well.
