Modal Pop up Extender on linkbutton command

hi all
i want to open a modal pop up on command of a linkbutton which is inside datalist and the datalist is inside marquee.
There is a running flash banner on the page. I hve supplied all the target id and pop up id but the pop up is not shown.
Please help

You Can Use UpdatePanel For that & check on page Load Ispostback .
You take panel .

I faced the same problem.

The solution is really simple..You will have to place the AJAX ModalPopupExtender and the Panel with your popup markup inside the datalist near the LinkButton in the ItemTemplate OR in short just beside the Linkbutton.

This way, each Linkbutton will be linked to its own Popup and will be displayed.

I was making the same mistake of placing the markup outside the Datalist.

create a ajax modalpopup control & show on linkbutton's OnClientClick=$find(modal_popup_control_id).show(0; return false;
