background of body mixing with the table in html

i want want to make my body background separate from the table .. the problem is that when i implement the background on the body of the html. it will also mixed with the table.

can any one tell me the right way to do it.?? y is it mixing with the table too??

Solution 1

The table is picking up the background of the body because it is in the body element, everything is. If you want the table to have a seperate background either use the Important modifier with the table background css or place the table within a block element, such as a div, and apply the CSS to it.
