hi there
Are you really using login control (in asp.net) for creating user or logging or ... into website at your proffessional website project because i think these controls are auto generated control and we cant trust to them or its a kind of mistake!!!
i want to create a website but i don't know using logging control or not. i afraid that they make problem into my website and then i couldn't resolve it because i think they are auto generated code and i don't know what is behind them or maybe they decrease my website security.

Don't post this under Questions & Answers - if you got the code from an article, then there is a "new message" button at the bottom of that article, which causes an email to be sent to the author. They are then alerted that you wish to speak to them.
Posting this here relies on them "dropping by" and realising it is for them.

In which case: Yes it is fine to use the Login Controls. They are just a template for a couple of text boxes and a button or so, so it is no problem to use them. If you need to extend the functionality and security of the actual log in process, then they work with which ever MembershipProvider you select - you can create a custom version very easily if you need that. The advantage of using the Login controls, is that they hook into the MembershipProvider very neatly, and thus work with web.config to supply reasonable security on a folder-by-folder basis.
