Error on publish: signtool.exe not found

I am getting following error on publshing my dot.net application

Error on publish: signtool.exe not found

my signtool.exe is installed in
location is d:\apps\microsoft visual studio 2008\sdk\v2.0\bin

is this is the reason for error

not in 
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\Tools\Bin" and 
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\SDK\v2.0\Bin". May be 2008 is looking for it in this  location.

Solution 1

Use signtool with Visual Studio Command Prompt, under Visual Studio Tools.
You also can use application Properties => Signing.
