First one I'd suggest you check out is the "Head First C#" 2nd. edition[
^] that uses "labs," and a rather unique visual style of book-layout.
Check out books from Dietel Publishing: I think they may have the format you are looking for: [
^], [
^]
But, be sure and read the Amazon reviews, on that second, very expensive, Deitel book.
Others have recommended the books from Murach:[
^], such as: [
^].
Disclaimer: I do not own the HeadFirst book mentioned, or books from either Deitel or Murach, and find the books by Jesse Liberty, Matthew MacDonald, Jon Skeet, Chris Sells, and Andrew Troelsen, meet all my needs in C#.
Many of these publishers allow you to download sample chapters.
In any case, I'd be sure and read the Amazon reviews for any of these books, if I couldn't "browse" them in a local bookstore.
good luck, Bill
