frame video when uploading

iam working on .net 4 website
i need when uploading video take for example 3 or 4 snapshot(frames) for that video
to dir when anyone want to donwload this video
& i search on internet i found ffmpeg i use it's code but it doesn't save anything & i don't know where it save
could anybody tell me how to take this snapshots
with regards
