Hi guys,
1) Do you know if is it possible to play a Dvd in a MediaElement Control? Otherwise do you can suggest me for another way(like to convert the Dvd in a supported video format).
2) Do you know how to cut a video fragment and save it?

Sorry for my English :)

The Media Element control is an unmitigated disaster. We've tried to use it several times and it is just not ready for prime time. Instead, you should write a control that wraps the windows media player control. Having done that, you should be able to play DVDs, although of course the DVD codecs will need to be installed on the target computer.

Cutting a video fragment is not a WPF task, there's nothing WPF specific about it. It is possible to do, are you meaning a video file you already have, or are you looking to rip the video from the DVD ?

Your english is fine.

Hi Christian,
Thanks for your answer.

I need to cut a generic video file and save this fragment in another file. For example, if I had a video of a soccer game (MilanvsBarcellona.avi) I should be able to cut a fragment that contains a goal and save it in a new file. (MessiGoal.avi)

Regarding the issue of the Dvd playback, do you know if is possible transform the dvd in a playable (by the MediaElement) format?

Ciao!
