Loading sign while reading from database

Hi everyone,

I have an application that perform a query on a sql database. The query takes quiet a while almost a minute. I need an some kind of indication that shows its loading, marquee progress bar or even a label that says " loading..".

I think i need to use another thread, but I've never used one before and im not sure how.

Can anyone help please?

Solution 1

Take a look at this article[^] about Tasks. It allows you to perform tasks in the background without having your GUI locked.

It's a great solution for the problem you have right here.
