OCR Machine, Using USB port, how to release the port?

Hi friends,
I m working on one OCR Machine, i implemented it into my project.
Its working fine at first time. Its read all the data correctly. But, when I tried it 2nd time, it is not working..

What will the problem..?
In sdk, there was stopRead() & Terminate(). Even I called both the functions as I finish the reading.
