I would like to make a virus scanner. But im not sure how to acually scan for viruses, help please!

Hi,

if you are using ESET antivirus then there is commandline argument available. through that you can execute virus scanning.

Why do you want to create it yourself. Its not a one-man task. You will need a team of atleast 50 people to start with with expertise in system level programming, machine level programming. Better way, download it for free.. from www.avg.com
