In your question, you ask about .doc. So, .doc or PDF?
What makes you using C#1.0? Where did you even get such thing?

I was able to convert a mormal XML file to PDF but not a Word XML

Unfortunately there is a lot more to a Word document than one XAML file. A word document a number of files saved in a compressed file. I would look at that is in the compressed word file and see how it is organized. There is a word to xaml add in that should also be able to open in xaml: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/synergist/archive/2010/07/01/word-to-xaml-converter-updated.aspx[^]. You sould be able to automate. I may be way off base here.
