Hi,

I tried to delete all instance of SQL server by deleting the SQL Server folder in the Registry. But now I'm unable to re install SQL Server. I don't have any in depth idea of these installation/re installation stuffs. So how can I proceed? Should I reinstall the O.S (I use Windows 7) again to get smooth installation if the registry is deleted in an unexpected way?

and I get error while taking SQL Server Configuration Manager
"mmc could not be created the snaps-in might not have been installed correctly"

Thanks in advance.

OS install is a last resort type of solution.

Sql server has a lot of registry keys which you can delete and retry.

Make sure your sql server version can be installed on windows 7.

Actually I don't get any error ... while installing after two-three screens nothing is showing up. Not even an error message and not going to the next step in the installation too.
