deleting selected record from database on button click.....

hi!! i need to delete a record from d/b depending on a user...

eg.. a user has some notes in his a/c... note1,note2,note3 now if he wish to delete note2 from his a/c... how can i do this...

i mean,only the record of note2 should be deleted from the user's d/b and the record's of note1,note3 should not be affected....

i want to do this on button click and i am using datalist to disply the record's from d/b....

can someone help me with this issue....
