file upload without using the ok button

hi,

I am using the file upload control to upload a excel file to a grid view. i am able to do that but i want to upload the file directly to the gridview without using any ok or uoload button control. as of now the event to upload the file is not rendered until i use the upload button/ help me on that.... please.
