Modal Popup Extender

I have a main page on that click of button modal popup is displayed .
but my popup data is hold on one user control which i used on main page.

so my problem is when i click on button on popup panel that time my popup extender
is hide but i cant show it again because it is on main page i want to access it in my user control

so please tell how to show modal popup extender on click of any event on popup panel?
