Time bases request processing

Hi All,

Need a help/suggestion on developing following for a J2EE web application.

In an application organization determines working hours of business days and decide to dedicate certain periods(Profile) for specific purposes, such as batch updates only, information retrieval only or system back-up and maintenance periods.
System shall be be able to store various business day profiles. The system will automatically activate the standard profile at the beginning of each working day.
At activation of each period, or in case of change of schedule, the system will broadcast a message to all users.

Can any one worked on this kind of requirement or know about the solution, please suggest or help on the same.

I suggest if you don't know how to do the job, you should not have taken it. Rentacoder allows for you to return the deposit, I believe.

This seems pretty basic stuff to me. I assume the way it broadcasts a message is through email, it uses a database to store profiles, and it is a basic scheduling system.
