Hi! I want to make a software for the nokia s40 platform that updates the media information in the music player of the player. Like when we run the app it should first read the gallery and sort the songs by the names of the albums they belong to(nokia music player has the feature to view songs album wise). Then the user should have to choose which album they want to update and the app should find the album's cover art from a specified database and apply it to all songs under that album. Guys please help me in making this software. i need to start from the very beginning like which language should i choose to work on and how to raed the music player's files and apply album arts to the albums......... HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

It's already done. Android ICS has gracenote by default, which does exactly this. I'm sure there are others as well.

You will not get code to help you accomplish this task from this site. At most, if you write your own code and run into problems, you can ask a specific question about what you did wrong, and someone may help.

Until then, as I said, I highly doubt someone will help you code this application from scratch.

While I have no idea about the s40 SDK, the media you want to access is an .mp3 or music file, and album art can be directly embedded in .mp3 files using the ID3 tags.

You can find some more explanations here[^]
