I want to know the name of the control of the password field used in many websites and programs. Its the new peek feature, I would appreciate you guys share little knowledge about it... Have you viewed page source using ie or chrome to dig down into the dom to find out what is going on?

I am making a folder encryption program. It means that you have to input a passcode to encrypt it. Instead of having two passcode fields, I want to have only one with the peak feature.

There is no such name that is given to controls: every designer is at liberty to design their own.

Besides, the only reasons I can think of for this would be malicious, and that does not encourage we to help you in the slightest.

Griff, I am sorry I hadn't said that what I am making is a folder encryption program. It means that you have to input a passcode to encrypt it. The MAIN REASON why I am asking this question is that having two passcode fields its a little bit messy on the UI compared to just having one with the PASSWORD PEAK CONTROL "just assuming the name" when typing the proposed passcode for the encryption. Please don't think of me as "trying to bypass something. The main use of the control is already rampant in many Microsoft-related Software and sites. Anyways thank you for that straightforward answer... no worries
