Respomse.Redirect is not working

in my project upon login i am redirecting to another page for that i have given Response.Redirect('Default.aspx",false) but it is not redirecting to the next page . but when i replaced it with Server.Transfer it is working fine. Now please tell me why the Response.Redirect is not causing postback and how to handle it

try this,
Response.Redirect("Default.aspx");

Is that other page is located in the same project or project. if yes then it should work. else use server.transfer..
