Customising Desktop Locking Program

I've been trying to write a simple desktop locking program and found the article: Lock WorkStation the MFC way[^] which gets really close to what I want to do but not exactly. I want to make it so the background is blue and there is a floating window with an image, some text, and a password input. I have Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate yet no experience with anything outside of PHP/MySQL/JavaScript. Could somebody help me out?

First of all, if you have an article you want to ask the author about, you should use the forum provided under the article. Second, if you don't know C++, then you should buy some books and learn it, or you should pay someone to alter the program in question, it's very very unusual for anyone who answers here to decide to take on a programming assignment for free. This forum is great if you have specific questions, but not broad ones like this.
