link expiry from registered users

Hi In my project I have the requirement as follows.
sending a mail to registered users with sign in link details.After a certain period of time elapses, the signin link should not work when user clicks on it.

Solution 1

use a time stamp in your link, as query string, if the delta time of link and server time is more than some time period, display a msg of broken link.
crypt the timestring so user wont understand or change it.
