completionsetcount property of autocomplete extender of ajax

I am using AutoCompleteExtender on a text box and My problem is the autocomplete returns a long list of records ,I want to limit it to maximum 10 records .How can I do that? I set CompletionSetCount="10" ,but it doesn't seem to work How can i do that? Please help. by using xml.....

by using xml.....i searched lot in google but i am getting answer on sql query not in xml...
