Start with what MVC is and how to develop a MVC application.
Microsoft: Learn ASP.NET MVC[^]
Make your first ASP.NET MVC Web Application [^]
Videos: ASP.NET MVC 3[^]

Then write down all the features and workflow that you would like to have in your online exam application. Post which, start implementing it stepwise. Post specific issues if you face any.
