problem is:

A potentially dangerous Request.Path value was detected from the client (<)


I have one button in asp.net...When i click the submit button it redirect
to A potentially dangerous Request.Path value was detected from the client but it insert the data into the database and view it in one table.No alert is poped while clicking the button ... It directly showing this message

is your page HTTP or HTTP(S) ?

browser, depending to the parameters, advise users when http or https ..

The error mentioned in the question is generated by the server when the path contains "dangerous" characters that could indicate an attempt to "hack" the site. It is nothing to do with the browser or whether the site is using HTTP or HTTPS.

1 solution

It is pretty clear that this is related to the URL. Please check if you have any special characters that are generally prohibited in the URL.

If that is the case, see if you can avoid that. Otherwise, you can control this behavior by configuring appropriate properties of Request Filtering <requestFiltering> | Microsoft Learn[^].
