Export selected rows from silverlight grid to excel

Hello Friends,

I am new and this is my first post.
Can someone please help me with code for exporting selected rows from silverlight gridview to excel.
Note: checkboxes solution doesn't work bcos if grid has too many rows...and in case if user has to select certain rows then selecting the checkbox for each would be painful.
So please suggest solution without checkboxes. User will select rows of the silverlight gridview using mouse/keyboard.

If you use the Infragistics grid, you will get inbuilt export to excel features.

suggested solution will export all rows of the grid to excel. but I need only selected rows (using mouse/keyboard) exported to excel.
