I am getting error while i am opening the External Content Type page in sharePoint Designer .Error is 'The Businees Data Connectivity Metadata Store is currently uavailable'.Please help me.

Solution 3

Just run the iisreset command in cmd and this will fix the problem
Hint: Open CMD as administrator

Actually the problem you are facing is described there are the resolution they are referring worked for them.

I suggest you to do it correctly for once. If still the error persists, then go to those blogs and add one comment saying about the problem. They can help you better. Or else go to the official Sharepoint support blogs and tell them your problem

make sure that the newly created Business Data Connectivity Services(BDCS) is associated (checked) with your Web Application by going to “Central Administration" => Manage Web Applications” =>; select SharePoint Central Administration =>; clicking on Service Connections from Manage section on ribbon control =>;select [Custom] from Edit the following group of connections Dropdown list-> select(check) newly created BDCS =>;click "Ok" button.
