on clicking edit button gridview expands

I have a gridview and it is bounded with dataset.I have not create any boundfield manually.When i click on edit button of gridview textboxes appears and gridview expands.But after updating all is ok.How to prevent the expansion of width of gridview after clicking edit button in code behind.I have tried to fix in rowcreated event ,but failed.

All help tells to set control style property of column in design view.But I have mentioned that I am trying in code behind by binding with dataset.So how to do it?
