Hi, I am trying to create a website which lists short films (only) that are uploaded in YouTube. In my website, users will be able to view it by year, month and day. That is, all short films uploaded in youtube in the last year, all short films uploaded in youtube in the last month, all short films uploaded in youtube today.

Users should be able to share the video via facebook and twitter.

I want to use ASP.Net and Youtube API for this. I went through https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/getting-started. I registered my app, got a developer key, downloaded client library for ASP.Net and downloaded ASP.Net samples. But the client library seems to have a problem and the samples don't run properly. I don't know if this is the right place to start.

Can somebody help me get my project started?

"client library seems to have a problem", you would need to ask the google devs about their software.
"the right place to start" is http://developers.google.com

If the samples don't run you either need to post the errors so that we can help you or go back to google and find out what you missed.
