Pivot table filtering disables workbook events

Good day,
Hope someone can shed some light on whats happening to me,
Im creating a dashboard in excel 2010 from a cube. one event that im using is the Worksheet_BeforeDoubleClick event, what the event does is when you double click on a product it takes you to another sheet showing a bit more detail on the product sales, on that sheet the event filters pivot tables. each time the filter takes place the application.enableevents are set to false making my double click not work anymore,

what i tried was to put a button on the newly open worksheet to take you back to the main view and there enabling the events again. this seems to work, but when you filter on the main dashboard either using a pivot table filter or the slicers the application events are disabled again

can anyone maybe tel me why this is happening and what i can do to to keep events enabled
