how to display all public holiday in month calendar

Assuming the following!

1. you have a database
2. I can't write such things as your very vauge

This is what i have done before, i've created in a database a table containing bank holidays and the type of bank holday.

On loading the calendar i then mark the bank holidays from the ones stored in the database.
