By its nature, debugging is not a step-by-step process. (If it was, someone would write an application doing those steps; isn't it obvious enough?)

Before you are getting to develop debugging skills, you need to develop decent skills of finding, reading and understanding documentation.

And again, look at my comment to the question. You can get a step-by-step manual on how to replace the spark plugs in your car, but you won't find a step-by-step instruction on how to repair a car. Can you see the difference?
